On April 20th, the 16th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition with the topic of “Innovation for Upgrading” kicked off a grand opening. It is noticeable that BAIC Group’s first Internet-of-Vehicle based system had its debut on Auto Shanghai. Integrating GPS, RFID, sensor, camera image processing and other system device resources, the Internet-of-Vehicle system has realized information interaction and synchronization through internet and computer technologies. BAIC marks an important breakthrough of “Internet + auto” since China’s Premier Li Keqiang proposed the national strategy of “Internet +”.

In terms of environmental protection, BAIC Group presented two remarkable new energy vehicles and especially expounded on the Electric Vehicle travel plan via real-life simulation, making consumers get to know and get access to joys generated from new energy vehicles more intuitively. Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, also known as Auto Shanghai, was founded in 1985. It is held biennially. In June of 2004, Shanghai Auto Show became the first auto exhibition in China certified by Union of International Fairs (UFI). It is also the largest auto exhibition in Asia.
