At 6:00 PM July 31, the host city of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games was unveiled. Beijing and Zhangjiakou won the bid. As the exclusive sponsor of automobile industry for the Bid Committee, BAIC was involved in and witnessed the bidding process. Because of the successful bid, BAIC’s image as a corporate citizen committed to “energy conservation and environmental protection, air quality improvement and sustainable development implementation” has drawn social attention once again.

BAIC proposed a package plan in support of the bid: donating work vehicles to the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games Bid Committee; launching two special EV models; undertaking the construction of 10,000 public charging facilities, etc. Due to BAIC’s efforts in calling for green travel and environmental protection, the pure electric vehicle has become the optimal choice for completely environmentally-friendly travel in the bid.
