On November 23, the 2016 Chinese Security “Golden Bauhinia Awards” Presentation Ceremony was held in Hong Kong. Xu Heyi, Chairman of BAIC Group (BAIC) received the Award for the “Most Influential Leader of Listed Company”. BAIC Motor Corporation Ltd. (BAIC Motor, 01958.HK), a subsidiary of BAIC Group, was named the “Most Valuable Listed Company” for its outstanding business performance in the past two fiscal years since its listing in Hong Kong.

The “Golden Bauhinia Awards” awards were presented by Hong Kong Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group Limited in association with important administrative bodies, securities institutions and distinguished economists in Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland. Based on the results of comparing and evaluating all listed companies, investment banks and funds in Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland, enterprises and executives with outstanding performance and remarkable achievements in the current years are recommended.

At the Hong Kong International Financial Forum that day, Mr. Xu Heyi said that BAIC will make all-out efforts to transform into a service-oriented manufacturer and an innovative enterprise, become a green mobile travel solution provider, and continue to promote the linkage of information, industry and finance.

As an innovator with strategic vision and great courage, Mr. Xu mapped out the strategy of “taking a road of group-based development and achieving a leap to build Beijing’s automotive industry into a pillar industry for Beijing’s high-end industries and modern manufacturing”, opening up a new path for fundamentally addressing the problems which have long troubled BAIC. The “group strategy” has enhanced BAIC’s business integration and control of its subsidiaries, and realized business synergy.

In August 2016, the 1,000,000th own brand of BAIC unit rolled off the line.
