On April 25 of local time, second RHD product X25 of BAIC rolled off the assembly line in Sri Lanka assembly plant smoothly and realized SOP, which presents that the campaign of SUV products in Sri Lanka market was kicked off officially. With X25 RHD vehicle type coming into the market, it positioned in the small SUV market segment, enriched BAIC product line further, and improved BAIC product strength, thus playing an important role in speeding up BAIC’s developmentof seizing Sri Lanka market.

After new vehicle rolled off the line, in order to get the consumers’ trust further and provide better product experience, BAIC made experience summary and improvement advice to new products, and project team made one-by-one trouble-shooting and confirmation aiming at the problems occurred in the process of assembly of D20 RHD and X25 RHD products. In order to guarantee the product quality of new vehicles, the project team conducted static examination and 500km adaptive road test and other work to the finished vehicle. Through the various working condition tests of city, suburb and mountainous area, the road adaptation of two types of products was tested preliminarily. The project team also fed back the first hand data in the process of road test to the company product department in first time, so as to promote the development and improvement of RHD products in the later period actively.

The smooth implementation of X25 RHD products SKD project is the successful practice of performing “collectivization” advantages to promote “internationalization” upgrade development. Professional personnel of product R&D deepened into the first line of overseas market to know the requirements of target market and guided the overseas assembly operation, which will supply important basis for R&D and improvement of internationalization products. In the future, under the R&D team cooperation of BAIC International and BAIC, the products meeting the overseas market demand and being full of internationalization competitivenessshall be made, thus promoting the upgrading and development of the group’s international strategy.
